Marquis and Jasmine, two busy adults juggling work and travel, did not meet in a traditional way. Instead, they connected on an app called BLK (July 2022). With each exchanged message, their interest in one another grew, and they soon found themselves falling head over heels in love. Initially, they began their unconventional relationship as a long-distance couple (September 2022). Marquis worked for his parents' trucking company and often took loads to Arizona, trying to spend time with Jasmine during his trips. She was understanding and made time for him whenever he arrived. It was during these trips before even meeting the kids that Marquis started posing questions about an international elopement for the two of them.

As their relationship became more serious, Jasmine was introduced to the kids and flew to Texas a couple of times to meet and spend time with Marquis' family. The couple started discussing next steps for them and bringing the long distance part of their relationship to an end. Jasmine spent a short time living in Texas to support Marquis in his career and help with the kids (June 2023). After a few months the couple agreed to relocate to Phoenix and Marquis, Summer, Jr and Fred hit the road to call Phoenix home (September 2024).

Their relationship continued to flourish, and soon they received exciting news that many couples hope for: Jasmine was pregnant with twins (February 2024). This announcement marked a wonderful new chapter in their lives, prompting them to start making plans for a gender reveal and baby shower. Although Marquis had made plans to put a ring on it long before this announcement he figured it was time to quit waiting around and make things official. He proposed in their home surrounded by family just one day after the news of boy and girl twins (May of 2024).

After giving birth (September 2024) the couple knew it was time to get planning on their union. Things that were important:
